The purpose of the Master in Open Source Management is to promote a new business idea based into the Free/Open Source Software with particular regard to the public administrations. The course, thanks to its interdisciplinary approach, allows to achieve the necessary skills for the imperative demand of innovation at the companies and public administrations.
The master’s principal aim is to give the student a good deal of knowledge about the programming elements and the Information Technology Management, mainly increasing the awareness about the developing model oriented to the Open Source informatics’ solutions. It will be draw specific attention to the copyright legislation and the OS license. The analyses of study cases will be a part of the didactic schedule, enriching the lessons by dealing with the practical experience and the innovative perspectives of the OS.
The master course is open to graduated students of the scientific area, Humanities, Law Studies, Economic and Politic Studies. It lasts 330 hours and gives 60 credits.
The lessons will begin at the 10th of October 2005.
